Join the Future Student Advisor team for a practical session to help you plan your first-year courses across a wide range of degrees. We鈥檒l walk you through the enrolment process, share useful resources, and answer your questions, so you can feel confident and excited about starting at UC in 2026.

This is the same session we deliver in schools across Aotearoa, so if you鈥檝e already attended a school visit, you may not need to come again to the Next Steps sessions on Open Day.

Campus Tours听

Come along and explore the amazing facilities we have to offer at UC. From lecture theatres to social study spaces, there is something for everyone to see. Our experienced tour guides will show you around campus, sharing insight about our Ilam campus.听

Accommodation Tours

Halls of residence tours are managed by each hall.听 On the day, you can make your own way to the halls or use the hop-on hop-off bus leaving from Ilam campus and head to their reception where you will be taken on an organised tour.听 The team at each hall will show you around and answer any hall specific questions. Discover how the library can support you in your studies at UC. From online and physical resources, specialist one-on-one support to our art, archives, and wellbeing spaces - the libraries have you covered. Come and meet our friendly library staff and learn what鈥檚 on offer. Our library sessions have reached capacity, but there鈥檚 still plenty on offer.听成人大片 staff will be available throughout the afternoon to answer your questions and are running drop-in tours, so you can explore the space and learn more at your own pace.

Fine Arts Tours

Join us on a tour around our Fine Arts studio spaces during Open Day.

Join us after our Fine Arts session at 11am as we walk over for the first tour of the day. Or feel free to drop by our buildings for tour times starting at 11.45am, 12.30pm, or 1.15pm.

Explore exhibitions across Ilam campus, chat with students about their work, discover how to put together a standout portfolio with our new application packs, and pick up catalogues from the Ilam Campus Gallery. A chance to see our vibrant studios!

No need to register for our Fine Arts tours. Just turn up at one of the mentioned times.

Digital Screen Facilities Tours

Attendees of the Digital Screen session can join a walking bus to Dovedale Campus directly after the session.

Explore the state-of-the-art Digital Screen facilities on Dovedale Campus during Open Day. From 10am, take a self-guided tour through cutting-edge spaces, including our industry-standard green screen stage, virtual production studio, motion capture, computer labs, stop motion, edit suites, and much more.

Please register for the Digital Screen session to help us gauge numbers.听

Music Tours

Following our interactive music session at 11am, join a tour of our specialist facilities, from rehearsal and teaching spaces on Creyke Road to production studios on Dovedale Campus, where you can see sound facilities in action. Meet our staff, ask your questions, and get a real taste of life as a UC Music student.

Enjoy live performances from our talented students across classical and contemporary music, right on campus.听
