Translation and Interpreting聽at UC聽offers students advanced training in cross-cultural and cross-linguistic communication, enabling聽them to work as professional interpreters and translators. Students can hone their T&I practice in community settings, such as legal and health settings聽or explore the rapidly evolving world of AI and audiovisual translation (AVT). For in-depth language immersion, students can take advantage of internship opportunities or an overseas study pathway. If you鈥檙e interested聽in a programme that is practical, career-focused and informed by real industry knowledge,聽then聽our Translation and Interpreting programme is for you.

Qualifications include:

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Eligibility to apply for certification tests with NAATI (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters)

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Postgraduate Certificate in Translation and Interpreting (PGCertT&I) - 6 months full-time

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Postgraduate Diploma in Translation and Interpreting聽(PGDipT&I) - 12 months full-time

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Master of Applied Translation and Interpreting聽(MATI) - 18 months full-time (pathway to PhD)

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Doctor of Philosophy (Translation & Interpreting)聽- 3鈥�4 years full-time, up to 6 years part-time
